Ти си била на билборд на Таймс Скуеър. Как би описала това преживяване и как се почувства, виждайки себе си на толкова емблематично място?
Беше сюрреалистично и вълнуващо изживяване. Да видя себе си изложена на такова емблематично място ме изпълни с чувство на постижение и гордост. Визуалното въздействие на Таймс Скуеър засили значимостта на този момент и ме накара да усетя, че работата ми се разраства в мащаб, за който дори не съм мечтала.

Един от любимите ти цитати е на Ан Ламот: „Изобщо не разбирам тайната на благодатта – само това, че тя ни намира там, където сме, но не ни оставя там, където ни е намерила.“ Как благодатта е повлияла на живота и кариерата ти?
Благодатта е била трансформираща сила както в живота, така и в кариерата ми. Тя идва точно в моментите, в които сме най-ниско, и ни дава надежда и обновление. В личното ми пътуване благодатта ми е давала силата да преодолявам трудности, мъдростта да се уча от грешките си и смирението да оценявам даровете в живота си.

Още един цитат, който обичаш, е: „Дивите плашат онези, които са обичали само питомното.“ Какво означава той за теб?
Този цитат говори за това как хората, свикнали с предвидимото и контролирането, могат да се уплашат от свободата и непокорната красота на дивото. Дълбоко усещам тази идея, защото връзката ми с природата и животните е изградена върху уважение към тяхната естествена същност. Вдъхновение и утеха намирам в суровата, необуздана енергия на света около нас – тя ми напомня колко е важно да прегърнем спонтанността, непредсказуемостта и автентичността в собствения си живот.

Обожаваш поезията на Руми. Как тя резонира с теб и имаш ли любим негов стих или цитат?
Поезията на Руми ме завладява със своята дълбочина, мъдрост и вечна актуалност. Той пише за любовта, духовността и връзката между всички същества по начин, който докосва душата. Един от любимите ми негови стихове е „Къщата за гости“, в който той описва идеята, че всяко чувство – било то радост или тъга – е гост, който идва, за да ни научи на нещо. Този стих ми напомня да приемам всяко преживяване с отворено сърце и благодарност. Освен това, обожавам цитата: „Ти не си капка в океана. Ти си целият океан в една капка.“ Той ни подсеща за безкрайния потенциал, който носим в себе си.

Коя книга (освен творбите на Руми) е имала най-силен ефект върху теб?
„Човекът в търсене на смисъл“ от Виктор Франкъл. Тази книга е изключително въздействаща, защото съчетава личната история на Франкъл като оцелял от концентрационен лагер с неговите психологически прозрения за смисъла на живота. Тя ни показва колко силен може да бъде човешкият дух дори в най-тежките обстоятелства.

Ако можеше да вечеряш с някоя историческа личност, кой би избрала и какво би я попитала?
Бих избрала Жаклин Кенеди Онасис. Да бъда в нейната компания би било трансформиращо изживяване – тя излъчва изтънченост, интелигентност и вечен стил. Особено ме впечатлява любовта ѝ към Джон Кенеди и откритостта ѝ за брака им. В едно от писмата си до него тя пише: „Не мога да опиша с думи какво чувствам към теб, но ще ти покажа, когато съм с теб – и мисля, че ти трябва да разбереш.“ Тази откровеност и дълбока връзка между тях ме вдъхновяват.

Как съчетаваш любовта си към природата и животните с натоварения си график като модел?
Стремя се да работя с устойчиви модни брандове и да подкрепям cruelty-free козметика. В личния си живот се фокусирам върху екологични навици – от растителното хранене до намаляването на отпадъците. Също така се включвам в каузи за защита на дивата природа. За мен е важно кариерата ми да отразява ценностите, в които вярвам.

Постигнала си толкова много в кариерата си. Какво следва? Има ли проекти или мечти, които те вълнуват в момента?
Благодаря ти! Когато поглеждам назад, изпитвам огромна благодарност за възможностите, които съм имала. В момента проучвам начини да използвам платформата си, за да насърчавам повече разнообразие и инклузивност в модната индустрия. Надявам се да работя с организации, които отстояват тези ценности, и да помогна за създаването на по-представителна и приобщаваща среда в модата.

1. You were featured on a billboard in Times Square. What was that experience like, and how does it feel to see yourself in such a public space?

Being featured on a billboard in Times Square was a surreal and exhilarating experience. Seeing myself displayed in such a prominent and public space filled me with a sense of accomplishment and pride. The visual impact of Times Square amplified the significance of the recognition and made me feel like my work was being celebrated on a grand scale.

2. One of your favorite quotes is by Anne Lamott: “I do not at all understand the mystery of grace - only that it meets us where we are but does not leave us where it found us.” How has grace played a role in your life and career?

Grace has been a transformative force in both my life and career. Just as Anne Lamott aptly describes, grace has the profound ability to meet us at our lowest points, offering a sense of hope and renewal when we need it most. In my personal journey, grace has provided me with the strength to overcome challenges, the wisdom to learn from my mistakes, and the humility to appreciate the blessings in my life.

3. Another quote you love is, “The wild scare people who have only loved the tame.” What does this quote mean to you, and how does it reflect your connection to nature and animals?

The quote "The wild scare people who have only loved the tame" encapsulates the idea that those accustomed to predictability and control may find the raw, untamed aspects of nature intimidating or overwhelming. This quote resonates with me deeply as it reflects my own connection to nature and animals. My connection to nature and animals is rooted in a profound respect for their intrinsic wildness. I find solace and inspiration in the unbridled freedom of the natural world, where each creature follows its own instincts and rhythms. Observing the untamed aspects of nature reminds me of the importance of embracing spontaneity, unpredictability, and raw authenticity in my own life.

4. You’re a fan of Rumi’s poetry. How does his work resonate with you, and do you have a favorite poem or quote by him?

Rumi's poetry captivates me with its profound wisdom, spiritual depth, and timeless relevance. His work resonates with me on a soul level, touching upon themes of love, unity, spirituality, and the interconnectedness of all beings. One of my favorite Rumi poems is "The Guest House," where he beautifully expresses the idea of embracing all experiences, whether joyful or challenging, as visitors entering our lives to teach us valuable lessons. This poem reminds me to welcome every emotion and circumstance with openness and gratitude, seeing them as opportunities for growth and self-discovery. Additionally, Rumi's quote "You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop" speaks to the infinite potential and interconnected nature of human existence, urging us to recognize our inherent divinity and interconnectedness with the universe. Overall, Rumi's poetry continues to inspire and uplift me, serving as a timeless source of comfort and spiritual guidance in navigating life's journey.

5. What’s one book (besides Rumi’s works) that has had a profound impact on you?

One book that has had a profound impact on me is "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor E. Frankl. This powerful work delves into the author's experience as a concentration camp survivor and a renowned psychiatrist, offering insights into finding purpose and meaning in life despite unimaginable suffering. Through Frankl's profound reflections on human resilience, the power of choice, and the search for meaning, the book resonates deeply with readers, urging them to confront their own struggles and find inner strength. By combining his personal story with psychological theories, Frankl creates a timeless and thought-provoking narrative that continues to inspire and guide readers in their quest for meaning and fulfillment.

6. If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be and what would you ask them?

I would choose to have dinner with Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.  In essence, having dinner with her, would be a transformative experience, allowing one to bask in the presence of a true icon of grace and beauty. Her refined charm, intellectual depth, and timeless style would leave a lasting impression, serving as a reminder of the enduring legacy of a woman who truly embodied sophistication in every sense of the word. One of the aspects that I love most about Jacqueline is her unwavering love for John.  She is open with him about the fact that their marriage may not be what either of them expected. She writes in one of her letters to him,  “I can’t write down what I feel for you, but I will show you when I am with you—and I think you must know”.

7. How do you incorporate your love for nature and animals into your busy life as a model?

As a model with a love for nature and animals, I prioritize incorporating these passions into my busy life by seeking out eco-friendly and sustainable fashion brands to work with, and advocating for cruelty-free beauty products. I make conscious choices in my personal life, such as adopting a plant-based diet, reducing waste through recycling and reusing items, and supporting wildlife conservation efforts through donations and volunteering. By aligning my values with my professional career, I am able to promote a message of compassion for all living beings and inspire positive change. 

8. You’ve achieved so much in your career. What’s next for you? Are there any projects or dreams you’re particularly excited about?

Thank you for your kind words. As I reflect on my modeling journey, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities I've had to work with incredible creatives and brands.  I am exploring the possibility of utilizing my platform to advocate for diversity and inclusion within the fashion industry. By partnering with organizations that champion these values, I hope to contribute to a more inclusive and representative modeling landscape. In summary, my vision for the future involves aligning my career with my values and using my voice to drive positive change within the fashion industry.
